Buy them, you can get leads by age, by zip code, people turning 64 1/2 for that month or those 65 and over ( depending if you are doing new sign up, or looking for those who already have plans doing the open enrollment period.
You missed the best time frame, for the year, but there is still open time.

Often if you work for the right manager, if you do well on your sells, he will buy some and give you some. I know I supply my agents some free leads each week if they sell some.

On my purchased leads for 65 and older, I get about 50 per page, out of that I get about 5 appointments and sell about 2.
** I am not that good on the phone to make the appointments.

You really want to also have a good medicare suppliment, since the advantage planes first don't pay all that good compared to the suppliments and also for people who can afford it, the advantage plans do not cover near as well as a medicare suppliment does.

So all of those agents switching everyone, are doing a real dis-service to the clients who can acutally afford their suppliments.

On the final expense, find a company that does a guarantee issue, normally they have limited payment for the first 2 or 3 years but with most seniors getting issue is often an issue.

But most advantage plans only pay about 250 a policy for each written, but you can get 400 or more off a medicare suppliment and with some companies if you add life to it, you can get bonus, a medicare and a life can get you sometimes 600 or more in bonus and commissions compared to the 250 to 300 on an advantage plan. ** at least the companies I have dealth with.

I love Mutual of Omaha for the medicare suppliments but it will really vary by State, each state has its own price structure, so like Mutual of Omaha, they are toward the lower end of the prices in some states, more in the middle in others. Many state insurance commissions will show the rates for medicare suppliments from all companies licensed in that state.
But name of company is important to a lot of seniors.

If a person can afford a suppliment, they cover more than an advantage plan ( normally there are a lot of various advantage plans)
