closing a claim

Last year i was invovled in a car accident.. i suffered from whip lash..i was off work for one month.. now my adjuster wants to know if i would like to close my claim..i have felt really good in this last year.. Now my question to you is how much will i get for pain and suffering..???how do you put a price on that... A friend of mine was also in a car accident and she told me she just recieved six thousand dollars. clueless to how much i could recieve.. I would really like your advice... going to see my adjuster in a few more hours ..have no idea what to expect?????
