3 phase efficiency Vs. Single Phase.

Can some body expain me with data the difference in efficiency between a 3 phase 5 tons A/C unit and a single phase same size 18 SEER?
For fact I now that the 3 phase Unis are more efficient than a single phase. But How Much?
