was it a violation?

About 3 years ago when I was an F-1 student I accepted to supervise some tests arranged by test center of college. The tests took place on-campus. I proctored or supervised total 3 times on 3 seperate weekend days. Following yhear I received a 1099-MISC from another university in state system for 3 payments I received which totaled to about $200. I filed this 1099-MISC with Schedule C along with my W2. Everyhitng seemed fine by then. I then obtained my OPT and H1B status without a problem. I changed my status to H1B in US. Now I am preparing to apply for GC and am little bit concerned if something was wrong by supervising tests on-campus and if CIS may cause trouble to me since I filed 1099-MISC. Did I violate something there? Was it something which I shouldn't have done. It seemed perfectly legal to work on-campus thorugh university's testing center at that time. But I guess my payment was provided by the other university. Am I in trouble? I hope it was not assumed to be unauthorized employment. Can I still get my GC?
