| US F1 Visa and working Help! I'm confused! I currently hold an F-1 Visa (as a Canadian citizen) in the US and have not yet completed one year of study. I possess both Canadian and an Australian citizenships. An employer in the US is willing to sponsor a work visa for a position I am qualified for, based on my undergraduate degree (B.A. Hons in psychology) and based on my Canadian citzenship. They would like to hire me as soon as possible. It is a position related to my field (working with substance abusers for a non-profit organization), but not related to practical training (as I will also need to complete practical training upon the completion of my M.A. in psychology. My practical training at that time will need to incorporate hours in a designated clinic).
My questions:
1) Can I hold an F1 visa while simultaneously holding a TN or H1 or some other Employment Authorization Document?
2) Is there some way I can continue as a student in the US and work off campus, either full time or part time?
3) Am I ineligible to do both?
It would be most helpful to obtain some information.... |
