Should I take emergency leave of absence and then quit or just quit immediately?
I have to leave job for which I did not have time to notify my employer 2 weeks before I quit. My planes changed so fast. I have to quit immediately, but I I still have my shift schedule for tomorrow. I work at Starbucks as barista. Should I make call and tell them that my car broke and cannot come and later send or call them that I quit. OR shut I just call and tell them I am done. Which option is best for me (not employer). I know it is not nice to lie, but I have to move to another location (as I go to college). And besides I was neither always treated there with respect. What would you tell?
Told my manager week ago that I got on-campus housing (as soon as I found out), and asked her for transfer but she she did not agree. But then she was working me out plan that I can still work, by commuting by car from college in the city to starbucks in far suburbs. She was supposed later to talk with me how I could find parking and work it out, but it never happened. After that conversation I haven't seen and talk with her.
I do not plan to go back to Starbucks. I am sick of ringing register and making drinks. Sorry but that's my experience. Btw I worked there only for a month!

No you should have the maturity to at least give a weeks notice.
And this is best for you, since the bridges you burn today can come back to haunt you latter.
For example what if that manager today is some general manager you will have to report to 10 years from now.
There are some things you always do just becaues it is the right thing, period, they may let you go if you give notice, but you at least give notice.
Quiting like that can look very bad in 2 or 3 years from now when you really want a good job.

I am going to disagree with FrChuck. There's not much of a chance you will work with or for this woman again, and with only a month there, you don't need her for a reference at another job.
Don't lie, but please call in to say you are sorry but you just have to quit without notice. School has started (or will start very soon), and Starbucks has made no scheduling arrangements (as you had requested) for your long-distance commute from college.

Yes I was thinking about telling it couple days earlier, but I was not sure it they would allow me to work till my last day.
Anyway, I think I am just going to tell that my personal situation suddenly changed and I have to leave now and I will avoid trying to get into details.
But I am still open for everybody's suggestions. Keep posting! Thank you all!

So I will tell her that I have to quit now. I am not sure what to say for reason, but I''ll try to be as much neutral as possible without getting into details. Like what happened that plans had changed and travelin/packing for school has started earlier than I planned and that I have found no way of communing from the city and finding parking.
Even if I stayed there longer things would get complicated. I know it may sounds goofy, but I fell in love with one of my employees who is my shift supervisor( and it is guy, in college one year older than me). Many times I felt so confused when I worked with him. I think he knows that I like him. Many times he said to me "I love you" and sometimes led against his warm body against mine or just just walked by me to trip by me. I asked him if he has girlfriend. He said no, insead he has many boyfriends lol. But earlier when someone called, he said to phone you sound like my mother or girlfriend. He asked once if I am at least 21 so we could hang out somewhere with him. But something wasn't right. I am glad I do not have to go through this again.
