Name Spelling

My first name on my passport is spelled different than on my green card (I'm not an american citizen yet). Could this discrepancy cause a problem when re-entry to the US?

Yes, possibly. It may depend on what country you are from originally, where you are traveling to, coming from and your POE.

Was the error in the application for permanent residence, the card issuance or is it an A/K/A?
