Married to a illegal alien

My spouse is illegal in the country and i am filling but he has a criminal record. Is there some kind of waiver that could help us and what are our chances of him getting his papers straight. Thanks

YA I would suggest an attorny as well...I hate to tell you, but it's really a rough time to be filling for papers when he/she is already in the country and illegal. I have hear stories, and actually know of one person that had been sent for 10 years to mexico, plus all the fines and stuff....... all because he was married here while being illegal. I HIGHLY suggest an attorny...sorry
