On L1 in US, but getting Salary in India. Any violation of rules?

Hi

I am working in US, on L1 visa, but I am getting salary in India. I am getting only per-diem in USA. I have a social security number.

My questions are

1. Is there any legal issues in being in US on L1 while actually not getting a US salary?
2. Do I need to pay anything Social Security related ? My payroll is run from India, and it doesnt show any Federal/State taxes or medicare etc. I am actually paying income tax only in India.
3. Am I supposed to consider the per-diem amount that I am getting as an income in US and pay tax on it?

Thanks for your support!

Best Regards
Athul
