i got a work permit for canada on a single status and thereafter i got married. then i moved to canada for the job. it was a work permit for one year. on applying for extension of the work permit, i mentioned my husband's name in the form. i got the extension and flew back to my country to visit him. but due to unavoidable circumstances our marriage did not last and we end up in divorce. now i am living in usa. can i apply for the permanent residency to canada as single or do i have to apply only as divorce e? what are the legal formalities that need to be kept in mind? will this delay my process? please help!!!
