About transferring into H1 status on an expired F1 visa.

Hello,
I'm currently a student on a valid F1 status but on expired F1 visa, which means that my F1 visa is expired but I'm a legal full time student with a valid and active I-20 on SEVIS records. So, my question is will there be any problem in applying for H1 visa if my F1 visa is expired? I'm in status anyway. Please I hope you help me in this matter as I am confused totally.

As long as your I-20 is valid, you're fine BUT you have to process your H-1B thru consulate only.
