| Husband detained My husband has been a legal resident since he was 12 years old. In 1994 he was convicted of a felony and sentenced in 1998, completed 5 years, and was released because of expiration of sentence. While being incarcerated, INS detained him and then released him because he was a united states citizen because his father was born in the US and his mother was naturalized citizen. He applied for citizenship in 2003, was told by INS it was there for him, in the mean time his resident card expired and he has been renewing it since with out any problems till 30 days ago when he went to INS office for an extension in his resident card he was detained and has been since. Our lawyer says he does qualify for citizenship. Question: Does anyone know where I can go in the World Wide Web to see where Immigration released him back in 1994-1998 because he was a united states citizenship? |
