    Was he deported?
I am married to a man of Egyptian decent who basically swindled me to get his citizenship. Before we could get to the interview things went really sour. He left me and moved back to his apt with his friends. Years later I find that he has destroyed my credit and I am now in serious debt. I cleared it thankfully!! And now am in the process of divorcing his . However, I can not reach him and I believe that he has gone back to Egypt. How can I find out whether he was deported?

Since you are still his wife, I would assume you can contact the I N S and request info on his status. but why, just get divorced and move on

You can request information about his legal status and address, etc. from the USCIS, but you need to know his A number.
Meanwhile, I would recommend you to submit a letter to USCIS to withdraw your sponsorship immediately.

You can file divorce without knowing his address. Contact an attorney.

And if you have concerns about the fees that attorney charges, ( you are in serious debt right?)
Go to a local volunteer legal service, some churches would know.
