got married to French citizen living in Canada.

No matter where I look, I can't find a straight answer... We got married here in the US (I'm a US citizen, he's a french citizen living in Canada for the last 18 yrs) in Sept. He works in Canada and so he goes back to Canada. He is coming home next week and we are going to start the immigration process. We are going to file the K-3. My question is....

Is it OK that he goes back and forth from Canada to the US? When the immigration officer at the airport asks what he is doing in the US, should he say "I'm going to file immigration papers with my wife?"

It seems the rules are so confusing... we just want to be together, but for now his job is in Canada (not much call for translator/interpreter jobs in KY!)

Thanks in advance for any insight here....

According to the link below, yes he can travel on a K-3 and not be considered to have abandonned his status when he leaves.
