I am considering getting married to a lady from the Ukraine. What are the restrictions and requirments for getting married in West Va to an immigrant? I am already familiar with the green card and visa requirements but I just read there are particular re strictions per state. Is this right?

There is no restriction on getting married in US, even foreign couple can get married here.

You main concern should be visa procedures as there are certain restrictions and requirements that both of you have to meet and be able to submit proofs.

Make sure you do it right so you won't waste your time when the petition was returned in the mail with simple reasons such as you wrote the wrong amount in the check, etc.

It's fine to get married. W. Va. will allow you to get married unless you are already married to someone else. That would be the only stop that I can find. Otherwise good luck and congrats.
