Fraud marriage

Asked Mar 6, 2007, 05:05 PM — 7 Answers
I have a brain injured friend that was cohered into marrying a illegal so that she could stay in the United States.Everything was rehearsed by the alien and her lesbian lover whom subjected my friend to countless mental stress. He never meant the words he said at a LV wedding chapel nor did he stay around more then 4 months until he took a bus as far away as he could My friend wants his injured brain freed from this stress. Was that marriage given the facts above legal for immigration purposes? Or is it another fraud ant migration marriage that slipped through the cracks unnoticed? His estranged spouses name if indeed she is .Is Renee V Castada

Reporting this to the INS is the best advice I can give. They would be the ones to investigate. It looks like fraud, from what you stated. But I do not know the whole story either. The website for the INS is:

USCIS Home Page

Their toll free number is:

If you have a question about immigration procedures, or need clarification, by calling our National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283 (TTY 1-800-767-1833). This toll-free call center has additional information and, during their specified office hours, can connect you to live assistance in English and Spanish. The NCSC will be able to answer most questions.

The INS will require them to live together much longer than a few months

And while being married and living your spouse helps you stay, it is not automtic. I have a few friends married to non citizens and they have been working several years trying to get their citizenship.

My feeling is this poster is not posting about his friend but himself. To embarrassed to say that it was you?

I do not think he would report himself.

Take everybodies advice.

Yes this is the person that was cohersed .I am on and have been on Dilatin one of the most mind numbing medications that there is.There are days when I am quite coherent and other days when.I feel like I am just floating in Space.Unfortunately the days that I am floating can be weeks or months. I am at my wits end about what my sister.the other person did to me.She knows how to push my buttons so to speak .This is my last shot at solving my delemna.I do not know if anyone knows what a severe brain injured life is but the Good Father knows all about the other place and what it stands for.And that is my life.

Sorry but I know about that drug very well and it does not make you stupid. Yes, it has its side effects, but there is no need to blame the medicines on decisions made.

I know about Dilantin and I know about severe brain injuries - I worked in a children's hospital/rehab center, so I have an idea or two. If you are that mind numbed, you need a protector - someone who will be your full guardian, as you cannot be trusted with any decsions about any part of your life. And you cannot trust your sister, apparently.

I hope you do call the INS and report all this. Fraud is still fraud, whether coerced or scammed or numbed into allowing it to happen. You have your wits now - I hope you use them to the best abilities.
