Can I travel with a valid Refugee travel document while my case is pending?

I’m an Iraqi citizen and I’ve been living in the US for the last two and a half years and I was granted asylum in May 2006.
I filed my I-485 form (adjustment of status to LPR) on May 21, 2007 and received an acknowledgment letter from USCIS.
I have a job offer to work abroad and I’m intending to accept the offer. Can I travel with a valid Refugee travel document while my case is pending?
The job is a one year contract, however, I’ll be coming back to the US every 70 days or so for vacation. I’ll be maintaining an address and continue paying taxes.

Please respond as soon as possible as I’m thinking about traveling by the end of June 2007
