Can I travel to uk without spouse as I am on dependent visa?
    Hi

I have a valid dependent visa. (visa printed with the title "visa to join spouse"). And also I have H4 visa. My wife have valid uk work permit(expires in June 2009) and valid H1 visa. At present we both are in usa.

Now I am willing to travel to London without my spouse as she is having project work here in usa for 2more months.

So without main applicant can I travel to London? (As my visa is dependent visa)

    Any restrictions from immigration people?

My wife will come to uk after 1 or 2 months for uk assignment.

    Kindly solve my problem ASAP.

    Waiting for your positive response.

    Thanks and Regards

As long as your H-4 is valid, you can travel outside US and return to US by yourself, no problem.

Same thing... if you have dependent visa for UK, then you can enter UK without getting visitor's visa. If not, it depends whether you come from countries under visa waiver program with UK or not.

If you have your passport stamped with this visa, you can enter UK even your spouse is traveling or doing business in other country.

    Hello Ashwin

I have the same issue as yours and I am also a dependant-visa holder. Could you please let me know as soon as possible if you were successful in entering UK without your partner? What questions did the immigration officer in london ask?

    Thanks A lot.
