hi,
I am B.E. computer science graduate.I have 1.5 years of experince in software field. all that I need to know is can i apply for a H1 visa now.

You would need to find a company that is willing to sponsor you for the H1. You also need to have certain criteria to qualify and the company has to prove that they need your particular skillset. A contracting firm is always a good option as they will find a job for you and are quite adept at handling visa requests.
