Have you received Notice of Receipt from USCIS?
Have you received a letter stating that your case is extended for one year?

If you did not receive any of these, go to USCIS Home Page and make an appointment thru InfoPass. Bring copies of everything you submitted.

Hi lawanwadee,
Thank you for answering my question,
Yes i recieved my NOA last year in Oct 07, and same month i recieved my appointment letter for bio metric as well, thats it from that till now no response from uscis, it only says on their website when i check my status that case recieved and pending,
I went last week to uscis district office to stamp my passport for another 1 year extn. stamp for I 551 as its goin to expire pretty soon, and they stamp my passport for another 1 yr extn. why they are taking so long, i ask somebody who also file same form this year in mar. 08 and they got approval in 2 months.
so i am still concerned about my case

It could be either administration error or there was insufficient supported documents on your case. During the past year, huge number cases were put on hold for another year. You should follow up more... in simple word.. keep pushing.

HI,
thanks for reply
I called the uscis customer service number to inquire abt. my case, what they do is take all the information abt my petition and reply in the mail the same thing which is available on the net. what are the other ways to push them, If there were not sufficient document
support they should contact me or send me mail so that i can send any document to them if it requires, but there is no reply from them at all.
What are the other ways to follow up, i dont even know except calling cust. service #
