Hi,
Salary is having income, based on a yearly amount, usually divided up into 12 monthly payments (or could be twice a month).
It also means working any hours, not usually set by the Management, which nornally means between 50 and 60 hours a week (depending on the company).
It means usually having more responsibilities than an hourly worker.

Hourly employee means having responsibilities just for the specific job being done. Hourly pay is up to 40 hrs (in the US) per week, with 1 1/2 times that amount being normally paid per hour for any over 40 hrs a week.
It also means, normally, working only 8 hours a day, unless overtime is approved. Salary can be 10 to 12 hours a day, depending on the company.
