| Payroll deduction for discipline i have a small business which i pay slightly better than minimum wage. all my employees (8) are part time.
my question: can i legally deduct pay (such as a quarter hour) from an employee if they are not doing their job completely or wearing their full uniform?
i realize there is a discipline procedure, but the employees know that due to the high costs of training and the limited availability of "good" minimum-wage help, that their chances of being terminated for not wearing a hat (for example) are slim.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |
