| Disability Leave.Is Company Obligated? An employee in my company went on maternity leave in late March of '07. When the 12 weeks she took expired she was then placed on diability for a variety of reasons related to giving birth. When the date she was expected back from that she informed us, with the doctor's documentation, that she needed three more weeks. Recently her doctor told her she needed to extend until January of '07 her disability leave.
Our company is in California. How long are we obligated to hold her position? What rights does the company have? Are there web sites I can conduct more research?
