    Could someone please help me out with this question, as I have a big presentation due and know nothing about this topic. I was asked to discus what countries posses tangible and intangible power also!

    Tangibles are those things which are easily observed such as geography, natural resources, population etc. Intangibles are qualities of the mind.


    Tangibles:

    Geography, population, and natural wealth etc.


    Intangibles:

    Willingness to accept punishment,quality of leadership, nature of a country's government, unity, national character, etc.

    Hello aaras:

    The biggest source of tangible power is a huge, well trained army. Diplomacy used to be powerful, but it doesn't work very well these days.

    People understand big sticks.

    In terms of State Power Potential...
    Tanglible sources of power: industrial development
    Intangible sources of power: national image, public support, leadership
    Natural sources of power: Geography, natural resources, population
