Smoke detectors going off without smoke once in a hour?
Our smoke detectors are going off simultaneously through out the house once every hour. And it continues for 5-10 minutes before stopping. No smoke is there in any part of the house at those times. IT is happening first time and the winter temperatures are around 30 deg outside. The smoke detectors in unfinished basement , attic and all over the house start beeping simultaneously. As mentioned earlier they stop also without any reason. Any suggestions will be greatly apreciated

I am having a similar problem... My detectors were going off during early morning hours. I would have to shut off the breaker to get them to stop... The first time they went off at 2:30am and scared the heck out of my family... I did some research and found that detectors should be replaced after 8 to 10 years (mine were 11 years old)
