Gas Fireplace Shuts Off

Folks: Need your help to figure out a potential safety issue with my Marco gas fireplace. Marco is no longer in business, which may be a clue.... My gas fireplace shuts off after 30 minutes or so, and has always done so. Any idea why? Is there a thermostat I need to calibrate, or should the unit run until turned off? Thanks for your ideas. RG

We have a Marco also. Our house was built in 1998. It started to shut off by itself after 30 min, then 10 min, then just does not turn on at all since 2002. Finally before this winter, I had an electrician to look at it. Our problem was the wall switch is bad. After changing it, it works beautifully until now. I hope this would help you.
