My garage door is not closing, but opens ok

Hi,

My garage door does close when use my wall switch or remote garage opener. It does open, doesn't close. It seems that something to do with the sensor. I've challenger photo sense - p1552 model.

I'd appreciate if you can help to fix the problem.

Thanks Charlie for your response. I did checked the adjustment of the sensor and it does seems to be aligned right. I remembered the day when it stopped working and only thing I can relate is the lighting thunder. Woulld that be the cause?
My rought guess - May be it's a fuse in the sensor.

more info; how old and what make, model, and serial number is your garage door opener you MAYBE can find the inner diagram for the garage opener this way we'll be checking apples to apples ..oranges to oranges
Lightning might be the problem but let's not jump the gun here .... ok .. you got the garage door sensor 6" from the floor it's not that because your door goes down for 3 - 4 feet then goes back up ... right? now if that is the case ... the adjustment I meant are ON the door opener itself there you'll see two adjust 1) up and second 2) down that's limit switch's inside that when you screw them in or out they'll cut of the power so the door stops at the right place for opening and closing.

a question for you if you'd know where I could get the information ... a citizen of Ghana got her business visa to come to US what I have known and was told they need an amount for traveler allowance in other *you're not coming to US with empty pockets and we (US) need to pay to send you back home ... I am willing to extand a helping hand but ONLY this way .... mail a Travelers Check to Ghana with that person name AND my name so the proof is there that it's the needed money for traveler allowance BUT that person can't cash in the check until we meet but it is understood by e-mail that a very small portion will be for that persons expenses ... I want to know WHERE I can get the information so I can ash the right person so I can get this project to move ahead ... thereis a 99% youmay not know but how and where can I ask that question and get an answer? Thanks

forgot to tell I look up the model but the make is lacking so I found the model number 155..P ... whatever.... I googled it... it gave chrysler car parts and other types of parts I really don't think you got a car hagging from your ceiling LOL
For the fuse as you suggested it can't be a fuse because it's operating a fuse is like a switch when it's good it let's power go by when it's burned the power has nothing to let the power pass so the opener operates .....
ooh hold on how low does the door go 2 -3 inches or 2 -3 feet you wrote that from here I can't see what you wrote so I'm asking in case it's not someone else note I remember
