tv AND CABLE

I have a television that is connected to a TIVO box along with a cable box and VCR.
It is a 12 year RCA TV. Everything has been working fine, then one day last week the picture blew. I thought the TV was dead but then I tried changing outlets and it was working. But there is one problem. I used to be able to watch another show while it was taping/tivoing another she. Now all I get is white snow on the other channels.
Could it be the TV?? I am at a lost. Any suggestions on what to try?
