No picture but sound coming on TV
My Onida Tv is 4 months old
All of a sudden it went black but the sound was coming
Tried turning it off and on for a few days but was unable to get any picture. Finally took it to the service center since there is no home service in Saudi Arabia.
He turns it on He does nothing and it comes.
So he says everything is fine. I come back home plug in the set and experience the same problem only sound can't see any display no menu option volume movement.
Tried the set in various plug points since here we have both 110 and 220 v
Finally in one socket I got the blue back but for half a min
Then tried the next day again same thing tried to plug in receiver again it went black. Static is there sound there remote works also
Finally yesterday I got the blue back plugged in receiver haven’t budged the TV or turned off the power switch. Too afraid to thinking the TV will go off.
    What could be the problem?
The service center is too far off and then the set has to be carried up three flights of steps any suggestions. Please help with your ideas.

Can you tell us what is your video source; antenna, or a cable signal? Also can you test your TV with some type of alternative signal like a DVD or VHS tape and see if you get a picture with this method. Possible that you have a loose connection in the video circuit which got moved to work when you went to the repair center.

    Good Luck,

Yes, it could be a problem with the source, are you trying to watch TV through a cable box etc? Try just plugging in something simple like a vhs, or plug the television co-axial cable directly into the TV. Try various channels, if it has video input make sure its on the right video input.

The moving it back and forth from the repair centre the first time might have shook a connection back into place, if none of this works you might have to go back to the repair shop. There is very little an average homeowner can do to repair electronics.

I have an analog TV converter box. It has worked well until yesterday when I turned on the TV and all I had was audio and no picture. I can get into the TV guide and set up info, but to television show pictures. What do you suggest?
