if you just want to play dvd's and there are no cable hook ups, will vcr work?

i have a small TV in a bedroom that does not have cable hook up. will it work to hook up a DVD/VCR to just play DVDs and tapes with no TV?

You don't need a cable hookup. You need a TV that will accept the inputs the player outputs.

Yes it will work but must have RCA (red-yellow-white) or an HDMI port. Doubt your VCR is set for HDMI. I have TV at our mouintain house, no TV, just use for DVDs works great.
