15" LCD tv (240v to 12v)?

Hi, I have just bought a 15" LCD tv which runs off 240v. Its plugs into the mains (240v) then goes into a box which drops the voltage to 12v DC 1.33a and then this plugs into the tv, So telling me that this maybe a 12v tv(ish). What I want to do is plug the tv into my cigerette light in my truck (12v) but realise that this will probably give out nearer 14v so is there a device i can get to plug in to cig lighter so i get exactly the 12v dc 1.33a out required? I do know there are other ways of using this i.e an inverter but would prefer this root. Thanks in advance.

Steve
