I have been making and selling magnetic jewelry, a little online and just started selling at festivals and craft fairs this summer. Some gave me a tax reporting form used for those without a sales tax id but so far none of the festivals have asked for a sales tax id or permit but some that I am getting ready to apply to require it.

Now, I'm confused:
Do I need just a sales tax permit, or sales tax id, an EIN, or do I also have to register with the state as a business and get a business liscense. OR a tax permit and a DBA???

I have been searching for information but it is confusing. I found this site but it just doesn't look legit to me.

It would seem that you are asking about operating selling the jewelry in the State of Arkansas, correct?

I would think that city officials where you will be operating your business would be able to give you the information that you need.

I wouldn't put any information on the site that you have listed. I would instead consult individuals on the following site.
