How to Induct an employee? and tax payment procedure Hi there. My name is kunal. i have just started up as a sole proprietor in India. My business is an ecommerce portal. I would like to know the proper legal procedure of inducting a staff member into my organisation. What information about the potential employee must I possess(eg should i ask him/her about resignation letter from previous job, police clearence to make sure he/she doesnt have any criminal record..is that appropriate?, income tax numer for payment). What is the legal method of paying the employee. If his/her income is above tax exemption how am i suppose to pay them. Is it necessary to hand over an appointment letter? help me out. This is my first startup.
