I am going to assume that you are going into the cleaning business for homes and offices.

It would help to know where you live in order to give you a more helpful answer.

Generally, you would get your supplies from a janitorial supply place. Getting them from a store that is specific to supplying janitorial supplies helps if you ever get questioned on your taxes as far as the items that you use for your business and the deductions that you can make on your taxes for them, even though a lot of the items could be purchased elsewhere.

You also might like to check out information on the following links since you are going into the cleaning business.

You can start out small and just buy cleaning supplies where you normally buy for your house. Windex, a good grease cleaner, get some mops, brooms, etc. Make a list.

Janitorial supply stores are great since you get more for your buck, but you can also do Home Depot for some supplies which are a bit better than supermarket stuff. There are also tons online. Just do a search for cleaning supplies.

Actually, janitorial supply stores are not the least expensive places to buy supplies, they are probably the most expensive. But, it does help at tax time if you do buy from them if you need to qualify to any tax person concerning your expenses.
