    Contract
    If I need additional help cleaning an office. Can I pay them contract labor and give them a 1099 at the end of the year? Do I need workmans comp and general liability or a bond?:confused:

    Hello M:

    Sure you can hire them on a contract. Do you need workmans comp for contractors? No. Do you need general liablility insurance? Yes, but it has nothing to do with your workers. Does the law require you to have a bond? No, but your customers might.
