Hi everyone, I'm looking for some help!! A few years ago I had a dress made and it was made of chiffon, it was beautiful on the hanger and thought it would look equally great on me. However the dress just hung off me and felt very heavy and akward. I have been put of by chiffon for some time now, But recently fell in love with a grecian style dress with empire waistline and wonderful detailing under bustline. The dressmaker has told me that she can change the fabric to which ever I would like, But that it will change the look of the dress. So my question is was my old chiffon dress just made poorly or not a good sizing/style? Is chiffon when used properlly the best fabric choice for the style dress Im looking to have made Or what would be the best fabric choice for such a dress? I hope someone can help Ive been a bit scatter brained about the subject anyways thank you all

I would try a jersey knit fabric for that style. I love chiffon too, but it can be awkward to wear.
