car audio

i have 2 12" subs in my car. my question is Why does my subs make a humming noise when i turn my car on with the volume all the way down. And also if i turn my head unit off the speakers subs turn on to full blast and dont stop? Any help on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.
