Why not volunteer for something like Habitat For Humanity? If you do not have that, find out where else you and your friends can volunteer your time and talents. It would take your mind off what to do and give you some good experience.

I agree that volunteer work would be a great idea to firstly avoid the boredom and secondly to achieve something rewarding that is a contribution to your community.

Depending on where you live, model rocketry may be an option. It's one of those hobbies where you can spend relatively little to very much. During the off season or during bad flying weather, new ships can be built and old ships repaired. Many communities also have rocketry clubs and meets.
Good luck.

EDIT - if you are female, then this hobby is a great way to meet geeks. lmao.

If you have the money go mountain biking - it's good exercise and chicks dig scars.

Volunteering...meh.

eldow, from what I've gathered this is a female asking the question... I'm making a huge assumption here, but I don't think she wants to attract other chicks.

like others suggested you can do volunteer work. if you are interested in learning something, enroll in some class depending on the area of your interest.

Have you thought about public access tv? How about you and your friends come up with a new tv show?

I think this guy must have found his calling. Not only has he not responded, he's not logged in since March 29th.
