I think that you should stay in school and complete your education. Getting a high school diploma is crucial. Students who don't finish high school, wind up with low paying jobs and find it hard to make it in the world. If you drop out of school, you will ruin your chance of being successful in life. I hope you make a positive decision to stay in high school. Sweetie, I know you've been through a lot, but getting an education assures you a better future.

Well, if you really don't want to end up like your mom then the last thing you want to do is quit school before graduating. As it is, high school is so easy nowadays that all you have to practically do is show up regularly, on time, and don't give your teachers a hard time. 180 days out of the year (that means 185 days off!) 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, 7 hours a day, give or take, during strictly daytime hours. No working person has a job that's that easy, mark my words. Your reward is a high school diploma and a ticket to a better future. The alternative is to have no future whatsoever.

You said you dont want to end up like your mum... does your mum have an eduction?
I would stay in high school, and study. Studing and taking your eduction level up each year is very important and you will benefit from it in the future when you decide to start working. Not many companies these days accept employees with no eduction what so ever. Think about your future and a future totally opposite to your mums would be if you stayed at school, took your studies further and accomplish something your mum hasnt.

What are your dreams? What do u want to achieve in the future?

Im 27, i did alll my school years but never took anything seriously. Just my standard O'levels. Now im stuck in a borin job and need a drastic change. But with my qualifications i couldnt get anything different, so i started university, at 27 , im doing a Diploma in Business Management, then i hope to take it further to a Degree Level.

Good luck.

What else is it you could be doing that is more important than finishing school and securing your future? You may have grown up fast, but you need to grow more and realise how important an education is. Straghten me out if I'm wrong.

Please don't drop out of school! Let the motivation that you want to turn out better than your mom did, to keep you in school. If you don't finish school you will surely be unsuccessful in finding a good career. You are already 16 which means you are probably a sophomore in high school. You only have 2 1/2 years of school left. Prove your mother wrong and show her that you will turn out better than she thinks you will.

Please stay in school. Your future depends on the decisions that you make right now!
