Purplemath , it really explains a lot of concepts that are confusing. Your school probably has a tutoring program that can help you out too, or speak with the teacher. Maybe even a friend who is or has taken the class can help.
What exactly are you having the problem with?
Maybe it's just one thing that's making it hard, becuse it's stopping you from understanding something else. I hated algebra until I actually started to understand it (I have my trusty graphing calculator to thank for that, they really are wonderful). I think lot's of people get what your going through.
But don't give up, at the end of the day they're just dumb numbers and formulas that you may never use again (unless you do taxes, now that's scary numbers).
