| Alternate Class Selections I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
I am in grade 10 of highschool.
In our school, we are now in the process of choosing our next year classes.
We have 5 periods, and 2 semesters. So, we have to select 8 classes. (one period is for lunch).
Anyways, we have to choose alternate course choices. Obviously, everybody can't get all the courses they want, so we are asked to list a few alternate classes, in case one of the classes we want is full, or cancelled. We usually have to list two.
Today, the office asked us to choose 3 more alternates. This means we chose our 8 classes, then 2 alts. then 3 more alts.
That is 5 alternates for 8 classes.
Is this normal and/or right? 5 alternates is a lot to me, and it makes me question the job th office is doing.
Thanks
-Jay
P.S, The office is under new management (new principal), and is not well liked. They have made bad decisions, and made mistakes before. They messed up out exam schdule. They also began a common lunch among all grades. 1500 students using one cafeteria... not good. |
