Example:

N - 10 x 2 + 6 = 20

First, subtract 6 from both sides:

N - 10 x 2 + 6 = 20

The six cancels out on one side, and the other side you're left with 14:

N - 10 x 2 = 14

Now, divide both sides by 2:

N - 10 x 2 = 14

The two's cancel out on the equation and you're left with 7:

N - 10 = 7

Now, add 10 to both sides.

N - 10 = 7

The ten's cancel out. You're now left with N = 17, which is the answer to the equation. Double check:

N - 10 x 2 + 6 = 20

Replace N with 17:

17 - 10 x 2 + 6 = 20

7 x 2 + 6 = 20

14 + 6 = 20

20 = 20

And there you are, good luck!

2/3n-6=12

alright multiply the whole equation by 3 when you do this the three cancles out so your answer would look like this

2n-18=36

then you add 18 to 36 then you should get

2n=18

then devide 2n and 18 by 2 to get your answer

n=9

3x+41=-5x-7

ok first add 5x to both sides which cancles out -5x so you should get

8x+41=-7

then you subtrct 41 from both sides which cancles out +41 so you should get

8x=-48

then you divide both sides by 8 you should get

x=-6

9+4(3x+1)=11

first you distribute to get rid of parenthasese so u get

9+12x+4=11

then you combine like terms to get

13+12x=11

then you subtract both sides by 13 so you get

12x=-2

so then you devide both sides by 12 so you get

x=0.166

undeadboy, this is the only one that was incorrect. N should be equal to 27.

n - 9 = 18

n = 18 + 9

n = 27

2/3(27) - 6 = 12

3x+41=-5x-7
3x+5x=-41-7
8x/8 = -48/8

x=6
so answer is 6
