x^2 - 5x + 4
you have to find two number that multiply to make 4 and add to make - 5
for example, -4 or -1.
Try putting them in brackets.
(x-4)(x-1)
Now multiply it out. Yes, it works, so that's it factorised. You do the 2nd one yourself.
