The odorant in the gas itself will not be present when burning. If the CO test has been performed and is within specs of the manufacturer then I have no real idea what else you could do. This and other problems are why I do not care for any ventless equipment. Somewhere a while back I heard of the ventless logs themselves causing a problem by the material breaking down so you might want to have a look at them for possible deterioration.
