My furnace fan will go on when I turn it on, but the heat doesn't go on. There's no way to light a pilot light that I can tell... what is the problem and is there a way I can fix it by myself without having to call in a service person?

I have a Carrier Weather 8000 that is not cooling well. Runs all the time but only cools late at night and early in the morning. During the day it never gets below 82.

My air conditioning is not cooling the house. 98 degrees in house.

Does the darrier weatherman 8000 furnace have a filter in it? If yes, where is it and how often does it have to be changed? If no, and the filter is the one at the incoming air duct, what is the best grade of filter to use (6,8,11,13) without overloading the furnace?

I'm installing a new vanity cabinet and new marble vanity top, both slightly larger than the originals. The problem we've encountered is that the drainage pipe that will exit sink water from the sink to the house -- the PVC pipe in the house/wall -- is not aligned with the new location of the sink...
