Trane xe 90 flame sensor or what (again)
I took the advice from many and cleaned the flame sensor. The furnace ran for about two minutes this time with the burners going, then they went out and continues to be that way. Could it be something else too, or is it likely just the sensor needs to be replaced ?

There should be a grounding wire(green wire) from the burners to the ignition control modual, check to make sure there is a good ground and that the flame sensor is in the flame, you may have a defective ignition control, Good luck, Mike

I just moved in and furnace ignites for about 15 seconds then goes out. I've researched everything I can. Even found the orange wire for the press. Switch had "fallen" off and thought it might have been the whole problem, but still the same thing. From what I found so far I believe it has to be...

Flame sensor [ 1 Answers ]

I have a York Diamond 80 upflow furnace. I think my flame sensor is bad. I checked my wire to the sensor with my meter ( I just completed classes in HVAC) and got 90 on the volts. Just wanted to make sure I am replacing the right part. The flame kicks on and goes out about 5-10 seconds later.

Flame sensor questions [ 3 Answers ]

I have a Goodman gmp125-4 gas furnace. I've been having all sorts of problems recently. I've fixed most of them, but the last problem I had was a code 5 "false flame sensed". The chart inside the door said the most likely problem was a stuck gas valve. I assume this is the problem if the fire...
