Probably the fan motor if the outdoor unit or blower motor in on inside unit. Many motors will have an oil ports. Lift the cap on the port and add oil. If this doesn't help will have to replace the motor. Oiling the motor sould be a part of routine service. Should you have an older model unit it could be a belt squealing on the blower motor.
