Smelly A/C

I was wondering how to get rid of the stale/musty smell coming from my central A/C when in use. I live in NE and only use the A/C a few months out of the year. Whenever we turn it on after being out of use during the Winter months it smells.

Please help!

Thanks

Dirty sock syndrome. Use Fabreeze spray. Spray it into the return air. This should help. If not you will need to clean the evaporator coil which means you will more than likely have to take the furnace evaporator case apart.
