    Where is the high limit switch located on a Trane XR80 furnace
    I was told by a Trane technician that either my high limit switch or the fan relay was causing my problems. The relay is on the control board, but where is the high limit switch

    It probably is on the fire wall of the furnace about 10 to 12 inches above the burners. It may be a box about 2 inches by 3 inches with a silver cover.
