    Laptop Fan Keeps Spinning
Every few minutes, my laptop fan keeps spinning for several minutes, and yet I am not doing anything. Even when I'm simply typing a document, it spins as if it was working overtime to cool the processor from some high cpu task, but the cpu usage fluctuates from low to high, even when I'm doing nothing. What is going on, and how do I stop this noisy fan? I've even used a compressed dust air can to clean the fan area and even reformatted the whole drive. Any advice?

    Thanks.

Laptops suck an amazing amount of dust that blocks the venting, You don't usually know about it until you open it up.
I would not open and reassemble unless capable.
The fan kicks in due to heat, not activity, some activity can heat up processor.
